Laure & Lucas | Wedding in Château de Saint-Sixt | France

Friday 21st of August 2020, in the middle of the pandemic. Laure is getting ready in the house where she grew up, where her parents still live, and close to where I grew up too. Yes, Laure and I were neighbors a long time ago. In fact, for a while, we were in the same class at school. Then I moved and we lost contact. And it was because of a coincidence, when we reconnected on Instagram, she was getting married. So for us, it has been like an evidence.

As I said, she got ready in Cranves-Sales (France), where Stéphanie from Make You Up, and Romain from Pimprenelles Coiffures were doing her make-up and hair. Lucas got ready at the Château de Saint-Sixt, and after we all met at the Church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste in la Roche-sur-Foron. The ceremony wasn't just lovely, it was also spiritual, funny and very emotional. Laure was wearing a dress from the Spanish firm Pronovias, and Lucas a very nice blue suit from PKZ. They both have chosen to wear the same shoes, in different color, from Caval.

Then we went just the three of us to a nice place with awesome views to the mountains, before going to the Château de Saint-Sixt to enjoy the cocktail party. As the bouquet, the place was nicely decorated with flowers from Avec un P'tit Rien, and the wine was served by Le marchand de vins. We had two speeches, one from Laure's father, which was funny and full of her childhood memories, and the other from the groom's mom, where I couldn't hold back my tears.

Dinner was served by Traiteur Viret, and the party at the Château de Saint-Sixt were animated by DJ Boly. We finished the day with a nice party, full of laughs and happy tears, with big families (Laure has 7 brothers and sisters, and Lucas has two brothers), where everyone shared very great anecdotes of the bride and groom.
